Guilty of Being With Jesus
Acts 4:13, When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. The religious establishment did not recognize Peter and John as being one of them. They did not fit in because they were too "ordinary," didn't attend the "right" school, and failed to use "code words" when speaking. The most astonishing thing was that Peter and John possessed the courage of their convictions and would not be intimidated.
The only comment the religious leaders could make, and this was certainly intended as an insult, was that Peter and John must have been with Jesus. How about that? They were accused of being influenced by the life and teachings of Christ!
Let's get to place where we can plead "guilty" to the charge of being a recognized as faithul followers of our Lord Jesus Christ!
