Day 28

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
We don’t want to make the mistake of judging people whom we really do not know. Even with people we know, we cannot fully grasp their responsibilities or mandate from God.
When the waiter comes to your table, takes your order, brings your water, or does other things you request, you might start to think that he is working for you. No, he works for the restaurant, but he is serving you.
This example describes the work of your pastor and other ministers of the Lord. They serve us, but they work for Jesus. We are never in a position to judge people over whom we carry no authority.
We are living in a very cynical time, but don’t let cynicism take you outside of the will of God. Do not make the mistake of judging people who do not work for you. When people make that mistake, God continues to empower His servants and make them stand.

Reflection Question: What is the problem with judging another’s servant?
