Character In Focus: Gifted in Christ. Revealed Through Grace (Audio)

There is no greater personal attribute than character. Everything we are before God and people is summed up in the character that drives everything we think, say and do. Allow the Word of God and the teaching to both challenge and encourage you.

Consider the Scriptures and quotations below. Our character is shaped by Christ and by our experiences/training---or the lack thereof. Listen to my teaching, Character In Focus, Part One, on the Firm Foundation podcast on iTunes.

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely...”  ~ Proverbs 10:9

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9

I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Tim 3:14

“Reputation is the shadow. Character is the tree.“ Abraham Lincoln said,

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. ~ Billy Graham

The Philadelphia Starbucks Incident: A Teachable Moment If We Won't Be Silent.

The foolish action of calling the police on two Black men was isolated at that Philadelphia Starbucks location. It was the decision of ONE Starbucks employee, but typical of the response of SOME white folks who overreact to the presence of African Americans (Listen to the 911 call).
1) Police should not be in the business of arresting people "on-demand" who are not committing a crime. They should have refused to arrest them. The police do not work for Starbucks!
2) The two young men handled the situation as well as could be expected being embarrassed in front of people by being wrongly arrested. I too would have been disgusted and angry, but calm.
3) In the video, one white customer (see photo) is seen and heard  defending the black men. Every person in that room should have been defending the honor and innocence of those men!
Great example: White customer using his privilege
to defend the honor of two black men

4) The person(s) who called the police should offer a personal apology to the men or be fired.
5) Note that ethnic/racial prejudice and racism continue to rear its ugly head--even as people insist that everything is "better."
6) I'm not going to boycott Starbucks, but I am going to protest the unneeded action of the police and the EPIDEMIC OF SILENCE of some white folks in that location (and in society) who should have spoken out against this action with one voice (as well as speak out on other matters).
7) If everyone used their privilege to help/defend others--and not be silent-- a lot of this foolishness would not happen.
8) Educate people in your spheres of influence about prejudice. It is not black folks' job to educate white folks––or visa versa. We don't need "racial" meetings and forums. We already know what to do. Use your voice to speak into these matters! Educate your children, family members, associates, and friends how to behave.
Ephesians 4:15, "But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ"

How to Release the Greater One Within You (Video & Audio)

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Bryan Hudson 0 Comments

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

One of the most important realities of life is knowing who you are, what you have, and to Whom you belong. John wrote, “You are of God…” There can be no clearer statement of identity. The greater One within you is your new nature in Christ!

This reality makes you an overcomer and causes you to always rise above "them," which is not specific people, but everything that represents the "world." The "world," is human nature apart from, and in opposition to, God.

This teaching was recorded on Sunday, April 15 will inform and inspire you!

Thursday, April 05, 2018 Bryan Hudson 0 Comments

Watch the teaching, "Resurrection Grace & Light: This Changed Everything!" Jesus’ resurrection was not only a life-saving, death-defeating past event, it is a life-transforming present power! In this teaching, learn how to know and walk in resurrection power. The word resurrection literally means, “to cause to stand up.” In this teaching, I will use examples from history and from the science of the “electromagnetic spectrum” (light) to explain how God expands your spectrum of ability, blessing, and effectiveness.
