Happy Thanksgiving! "An Attitude of Gratitude"
The Thanksgiving holiday is the beginning of the best time of the year! This is not because problems go away or the world suddenly becomes a better place.
Thanksgiving, or more accurately, "Giving thanks to God," provides an opportunity to gain a better perspective on life. We live in a culture that is full of complaining, ingratitude and greed. Many people are dealing with pain and trauma who need our support.
As we thank God for all His blessings, including salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, we find grace to give thanks to God and brighten our hearts. A heart and mind that have been brightened through giving thanks can overcome the darkest days. As we give thanks, we will also be able to overcome any sadness that arises when reflecting on loved ones who have passed on and will not be sitting around our dinner tables.
I pray that you and yours will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I pray that we develop and maintain an "attitude of gratitude" that will carry us throughout the holidays!
