You Are in the Middle of God's Purpose and Plan - Firm Foundation Inspiration Minute for January 12, 2022
("Firm Foundation Inspiration Minute" is a weekly encouragement sent by text on Wednesdays to supporters of New Covenant Church and Dr. Bryan Hudson. Subscribe to this blog to get connected.)
Would like to share with you today that you are in the middle of God's purpose and plan. Don't just feel like it, know it.
When Israel came to the impassable barrier of the Red Sea, God told them to "Go Forward." We usually think of forward as physically moving in the direction of north, east, south, or west. But sometimes you are not able to physically move, so you move in your thinking, in your faith, and in your expectations.
Forward is going from one place, or condition, to another. Forward is the place and the direction where the desires of your heart take you.
Forward is the only direction God is moving.
In John chapter 14 Jesus promised to lead His disciples to a better place. Thomas said, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" (John 14:5)
Thomas made the same mistake we sometimes make by trying to figure out in our minds what God is doing. Jesus answered Thomas with the words, "I am the way..."
We should use our knowledge and God-given wisdom, but we always come to the end of our understanding. Remember this: When you walk with Jesus, you always know the way, because He is the way.
2022 is a place for you called "Forward."
You're in the middle of God's purpose and plan because you're with the One who knows, and is, the Way.
God Bless and be encouraged!
