 “God is Faithful”

OR LISTEN BELOW

“God’s faithfulness is the one constant in the equation. He is the Rock on which we stand.” ~ Paul Silway

The best words I have found to express my awareness of God's goodness are, "God is Faithful."

2 Thessalonians 3:3, But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

2. Lamentations 3:22–23, The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

2 Timothy 2:13 New Living Translation, If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is

Love & Serve: The Liberty of Love | Bryan Hudson, D.Min.

LISTEN TO PODCAST

Watch Black History Moments video demonstrating the liberty of love:

Galatians 5:13, For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Nothing is more foundational to our walk as Christ followers than God’s love for us and our love for others.

James 2:5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you drag you into the courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? 8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors...12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

James 2:8, If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors...12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

When we practice the Liberty of Love, people are dignified, lives are changed, we are encouraged, and God is gloried.

Love & Serve: Break the Pattern. Walk Out of Stuck.

LISTEN TO PODCAST

John 5:1 Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me. 8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, 10 and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”11 But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ ”12 So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?” 13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

“Do you want to be healed?” This is an odd question that Jesus asked. Seemed obvious and little rude. The man had been an invalid for 38 years. We don’t know how long he had been coming to Bethesda.

Being asked a question is often the first step to breaking a pattern.

Loving and serving often involves questions:
• Do you want to change?
• Are you serious about change?
• What do you need to change in order to change?
• Is this sustainable? How long can I do it?
• What are your God inspired priorities?

God's People in the City – How Predestination Works

LISTEN TO PODCAST

2 Thessalonians 1:3, We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

Faith Works by Love

Two of the most important factors to an authentic and fruitful life in Christ are FAITH and LOVE. We cannot only “SAY” we have faith and love. It is only as real as we “PRACTICE IT.”

Galatians 5:6, For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

Galatians 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
